Sign our letter: The kind of economy we need

Over the last twelve months, Representative Poliquin and Senator Collins have voted repeatedly to drain money and power out of our communities and small businesses and handed it to those who already have too much - the wealthiest individuals and largest multinational corporations. From massive tax breaks for the wealthy, to making it harder for small business owners to sue fraudulent banks, to gutting the Affordable Care Act, these two Maine Republicans have consistently chosen to make the super-rich and the corporations they control stronger at the expenses of Maine people, communities, and small businesses.

In order for our communities and local economies to thrive, everyone must have their basic needs like food, shelter, health care, and education met. These are basic human rights and necessary prerequisites to participating in society and the economy.

Now, as Republican leaders in Congress are proposing new, crippling cuts to vital programs, our representatives need to hear from business owners like you that this is not the kind of economy we want or need.
