Maine DEP: Small Businesses want to sell toxic-free products

Every Maine consumer deserves a home that is free of toxic chemicals, and every Maine business deserves the right to know that the products they use or sell are safe.

Unfortunately, business owners and their customers don’t have the kind of information to know which products are safe from chemicals like phthalates (pronounced thal-lates) – nasty chemicals that can cause birth defects and other developmental disabilities in children.

It’s time for action: Sign our letter to the Maine Department of Environmental Protection demanding action to protect Maine children from the toxic chemical phthalates.
